Luxury lies in the detail. OOW designs private houses as new builds, and apartments and penthouses as fit-outs – from design and planning consent through detailed design to site supervision. We design what cannot be bought, and draw it so precisely that it fits when it is delivered. Our clients come from Berlin and from abroad; if you invest from outside Germany, we keep German bureaucracy away from you.

Houses with conviction

Casa Locarno in Ticino was one of our first projects: prefabricated timber construction with frameless corner glazing, winner of the Green Good Design Award and named by CNN as one of the ten most sustainable buildings in the world. The NoEnergy house in Berlin's commuter belt is climate-neutral without looking it, and gives a blended family places for time together and rooms to withdraw to.

Penthouses and fit-outs at gallery level

At Upper West we took on Hadi Teherani's design from detailed design onwards and carried it through to handover – including a five-tonne marble counter on the 33rd floor. In Prenzlauer Berg a partly fitted-out bare roof space has become a two-level penthouse, built while the building stayed occupied. For 7047 Concrete a single joiner made wall panelling, doors, built-ins and furniture from our 1:1 detail drawings.

Before you buy, during construction, until handover

Before your money moves, we check what a site or an existing building allows – whether a bare roof space can become a penthouse, or whether a site will take the house you have in mind. Both founders worked for Foster + Partners in London and know both the British and the German way of building. The depth of detail comes from our detailed design.
